It's unusual to find gerbil specific food.....until we found this we had to buy general hamster or rodent foods some of which contain things which are not great for gerbils. This gerbil food though is fab - our wee gerbils love it and thrive on it. We're buying now for friend's gerbils as well!

There are not many Gerbil specific foods out there (most people would recommend hamster food which can contain ingredients, like sunflower seeds that are not suitable for gerbils in large volumes) so I'm glad I found this. When I brought my gerbils (from Pets at Home) I was advised to keep feeding them the food they were on which was their own brand, generic, Mouse/Gerbil mix. I started feeding them this but found that it contained a lot sunflower seeds and peanuts, which can be bad for gerbils in large volumes. My gerbils also would pick feed and eat all these bad bits leaving the rest. I ended up picking out most of the sunflower seeds and peanuts, giving them to my gerbils as treats. I went looking for an alternative and that is when I found this. I gradually introduced the Supreme Gerri Gerbil and my gerbils love it (It also doesn’t have any sunflower seeds). It has a good mix of seeds, grains and pellets. I received a very good service, good price (cheapest I could find on the internet) and a fast delivery. I placed my order on 22/01/2012 it was dispatched on the 24/01/12 and it arrived on the 25th. I even got an email in the morning with a one hour delivery spot so I knew exactly when it would arrive. I would defiantly recommend this product to other gerbil owners.
