So I've read a few reviews on this toy whether on this site or others and found that all of the negative reviews have the same thing in common. Owners who do not actually understand how to use it. I don't want to come across like I'm having a dig at people but if looked after it's a cracking toy that my dogs love. I've been using a large one daily since Christmas and apart from it being filthy and the rope shredding my hands it is in good nick. As a note to anyone buying, this is not a toy to be left with your dog. It's not a chew toy. It's a toy for playing fetch and tug. If I'd left any of my dogs with it it would have been gone in minutes but instead it gets put away so has lasted for months. As a note to kong however (if they are reading this). Sort out the rope please, I have to wear gloves to throw it as the plastic shreds and bloody hurts.
Great idea but it lasted about 30 seconds. The rope is made from plastic and was destroyed in the blink of an eye. The felt covering was then loose and easy to remove. Our dog isn't a massive chewer but he is used to rope toys and snugga wubbas etc. which have all survived puppyhood and adulthood. Went in the bin.
a great dog toy. especially good for water games p.kau
We still have the first one of these we bought 4 years ago and only now after daily use has the rubber perished! We have bought others between times as presents and to have in the cars and at friends/family houses and my labradors absolutely love these. They preferred the old shape but still love the new shape too
