I used Vectra 3D on my previous dog (a Westie) for years and it seemed to work well with no problems. I have therefore started using it on my new dog (Mini Poodle). Unfortunately, the last time I used it the dog seemed to suffer a bad reaction. She seemed agitated, wouldn't eat, and the next morning had sickness and diarrhoea. This lasted a couple of days. I wasn't sure if the Vectra 3D was to blame so this month I used it again and sadly the poor dog had the same reaction. After 3 days she is just starting to eat properly again but still has a touch of diarrhoea. I started using Vectra 3D because it seemed to be the only treatment that actually deterred fleas and ticks from biting in the first place. All other treatments only seem to kill fleas and ticks once they bite which has always seemed pointless to me. However, it seems I will have to use one of the other treatments and make sure it has different ingredients to Vectra 3D. I have given it 3 stars because it worked well for my other dog but obviously it makes some dogs ill.
