Excellent product. I have four cats - three of them are Bengals. Two of the Bengals don't get on and howl at one another on sight. Since trying these collars (and the calming treats) they have been much better and more relaxed. They are definitely not going to be best mates but it keeps the stress levels down. The only thing I would say is that putting the collars on is quite difficult as the buckle mechanism is awkward and the plastic of the collar is quite stiff to poke through.
We tried these a couple of years ago & weren't fans. Firstly they absolutely stank! It honestly gave me such a headache to even be in the next room from any of our cats that were wearing these collars. The rest of our family didn't have quite as bad a reaction as me, but all agreed that the collars thoroughly stank. Like a mix of mothballs with some kind of old floral perfume that's turned & a pungent version of the smell you sometimes get with old wooden furniture/cabinets that have been stored for years. The cats must have felt the same, as upon fitting one with the collar it sulked no end. Then to make matters worse, the other two cats were so offended with the odour, that they came to investigate it immediately. This then triggered even more 'slap-attacks' (the very behaviour we wanted help calming) because the decidedly not-at-all-calmed cat that was wearing the first collar first. Did not want to be sniffed at repeatedly. So she was slap-attacking everyone else about 20x more than before. We then tried fitting the rest of them with their collars, so engine was the same (much to their identical, collective dismay.) Which only served to make the rest of them sulk too. This was subsequently followed by about a 200% increase in everyone slapping everyone else. As they all settled into not only sulking about their own stinky (& apparently itchy) collars, but also, into a new-collar-induced mutual irritability. The end result was a 18hr stand-off, where everyone attempted to both sniff everyone else's hideous collar, whilst angrily slapping & hissing at anyone who attempted to sniff their own. Needless to say, it was a total nightmare. The collars all had to be removed, & when they were I noted that most of them had inflamed, itchy skin where they'd been. Ironically, after a few days of everyone still hating each other & spending very little time at home, in the house. Everyone got on much better for a while. But I guess mutual trauma is likley to do that kind of thing!
Brilliant product i highly recommended this product. I have used it for several years now and it works brilliantly and its also a great price. Love this site. 😻
Last longer than it states! My girl's 4kg, we got this collar probably before October 2019 and have only just needed to take it off early January 2020 It still had a little valerian smell to it Behaviour is totally different, she's back to the climbing loving, purring thing she should be Will likely be buying more :)
